Putting Investors First – Transparency and Fairness Conference

As trust, transparency and fairness continue to be a major topic of debate in the global markets, CFA Society Luxembourg and CFA Institute cordially invite you to attend a short travelling conference on Monday 24 November 2014. Senior investment professionals will examine the following topics which are of paramount importance in Luxembourg today:

  • What protection for investors? – Claude Wampach, head of Risk – Banking Supervision, Commission de surveillance du secteur financier (CSSF)
  • Global insight, engagement in Europe and the role of future of finance – Stephen Horan, PhD, CFA, CIPM, managing director and co-lead, Education, CFA Institute
  • Investors rights, protection and litigation – Erik Bomans, managing partner, Deminor Recovery Services
  • Costs transparency of investments – Klaus Paesler, head of Currency and Overlay Strategy, Emea, Russell Investments

The speakers will consider how local investors, regulators, and the participants in the financial markets can work together to rebuild investor trust in the investment profession at the local and international level. After the Luxembourg instalment of the tour, the conference will travel to the Netherlands, Belgium and France, where local speakers will continue the debate.
