Lawyers in space

Paperjam.lu

Luxembourg is among a small number of countries spearheading the emerging economic sector of new space, by hosting a number of innovative companies.

Find out more about what this sector means for Luxembourg and why its government created the Space Resources initiative at the third Space Café.

This edition will focus on the legal issues related to space resource use. Laurent Schummer of Arendt & Medernach will share insights from a law firm perspective on the legal issues and challenges of space resources activities and areas such as remote sensing.

Agnieszka Lukaszczyk, of Planet, will talk about new space, in which innovation is largely driven by private sector investment. She will also tell the story of how a company with one the biggest constellations of EO satellites in history was founded seven years ago by three people building a satellite in a garage.

The Luxembourg space café is an initiative from ispace Europe to raise awareness about space activities and enable actors to network.

Participation costs €10, which covers drinks at the bar. Advance registration is compulsory. Register early to avoid disappointment.
