The Chamber of Commerce of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in close cooperation with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the European Union will organise a seminar on Business Opportunities in Iran on Thursday June 30 2016 at the premises of the Chamber of Commerce.

With about 80 million inhabitants, Iran is one of the biggest markets relatively unexploited in the world and the second biggest economy of the MENA region.

According to the World Bank, the Iranian economy progressed in 2015 after two years of recession. The World Bank foresees continued growth for years to come, on condition however that the Iranian government makes the needed economic reforms.

At the beginning of this year, the international economic sanctions against Iran were widely lifted. The country tries again to join the global economy but has to modernise its infrastructure and its industrial installations. Iran is in search of expertise in diverse sectors: energy, finance, health care, environment, transport and logistics, construction and infrastructure. Furthermore, its large population base becomes an interesting market for consumer goods and services.

Experts will provide valuable practical advice on how to access the Iranian market.
