It is organised by Xxyz Luxembourg, who raise a number of issues related to sexism, machismo and misogyny in their Facebook even page. Among the points raised was the recent case of a man, who filmed up women’s skirts on public transport who went unpunished because of a loophole in the law.
Other points raised, include sexist advertising that is degrading towards women, taxation of women’s sanitary products, the misuse of women’s rights to justify racist and islamophobic statements, the pushing out of the most vulnerable in the capital such as the homeless and sex workers and domestic violence.
Everyone is invited to join the march which ends with a musical and social event at Hariko in Bonnevoie.
