2017 marks the third edition of this event, which is organised by the Art2Cure association along with Banque Internationale à Luxembourg.
All proceeds from this event will support biomedical research carried out by the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) at the University of Luxembourg. Specifically, they will support a research project on Parkinson’s disease and another on Zellweger Syndrome, a rare and still incurable disease affecting children.
The exhibition kicks off with a launch party on 1 July where guests can meet leading local and international artists and emerging talents.
Proceeds from the sale of artworks at last year’s event helped to raise €112,000, half of which went to biomedical research at the LCSB. Art2Cure ASBL was founded in April 2017. The asbl's mission is to support both Luxembourgish/Luxembourg-based artists and scientists.
Participating artists include: Laurent Antunes, Jhemp Bastin, Sandra Biewers, Robert Brandy, Tom Flick, Tina Gilles, Albert Janzen, Frank Jons, Carine Kraus, Philippe Lamesch, Sandra Lieners, Francoise Ley, Daniel Lloyd, Ben Marlowe, Anne Michaux, Guy Michels, Martine Pinnel, Roland Quetsch, David Russon, Sergio Sardelli, Stick, Sumo, Joachim Van der Vlugt, Etienne Viard, Kazuko Watanabe (see photo).
Attend the exhibition launch on 1 July, 3pm to 7pm, alternatively the exhibition is open Monday-Friday, from 8am to 6pm until 15 September. Parking is available onsite.
