Beginners will be taken through their paces on 16 March when Bill offers up his tool kit of techniques gathered over 40 years in the business. The aim is to help improvisers move from negative feelings, or areas of deficit when they play, such as anxiety, weakness and confusion, towards a powerful connection to self, scene and partner.
The first workshop takes place from 12 noon to 5:30pm. Participation costs €80.
Advanced practioners
The second workshop is held on 17 March and is aimed at improvisers with intermediate to advanced experience. Participants will work with integrating techniques to explore the psychology of long form (scenic) and short form (games) improvisation to play sharper characters in scenes (and games) in long form.
The workshop focuses on declaring, understanding and forwarding elements of “game” while integrating emotional presence and response to enable scenes to play with more depth. This second workshop runs from 11am to 6pm. Participation costs €90.
