Paperjam.lu

From 22 September to 8 October, the ministry for culture will host several events on the grand duchy’s patrimony and national heritage.

Luxembourg is a fun place for castle lovers and explorers; and now even more so as heritage days return.

According to the culture ministry press release issued on 13 September, this year's theme is “Haiser a Leit-Patrimoine bâti et personnalités” (Houses and People- Patrimony and personalities). It’s a chance to uncover the nation's history through diverse exhibitions, guided visits and conferences.

The series will be a gothic-like treasure hunt where participants can discover the close ties between the buildings and their former inhabitants.

The programme featurs several of the grand duchy' historical leaders, such as the Count Wenzel ll, Marshal Vauban, Paul Eyschen (prime miniser who served for 27 years), the Tudor family, the Servais family and many more.
